I see clients for face to face sessions. In my spacious counselling room it is possible to follow the current safety guidelines.
A space to heal
As a qualified and experienced counsellor, I offer a safe and confidential space where clients can process difficulties and explore feelings without being judged. My aim is to provide a therapeutic experience where individuals can feel valued and their story is listened to. I have extensive experience in working with adults as well as with children and young people, both in my private practice and through my commitment to various charities. I worked for several years as school and community-based young people counsellor for Blaenau-Gwent Youth Services in South Wales; I teach counselling - CPCAB Level 3 and 4 - at The Way Forward Centre, Swansea. Counselling is not only a space to talk, sometimes it’s easier to express ourselves through art and creativity; in my practice there is a wide variety of materials, and different therapeutic techniques can be used – art, music, puppetry and sand tray. During these challenging times however, some clients cannot meet in person for various reasons. I have a long experience of online counselling and I offer video (Zoom) sessions. I am a BACP member and I adhere to their Code of Ethics. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner's Office for data protection and I am committed to Continual Professional Development. |
